Miss you already...

I miss you already, before you're gone,
Feel slightly anxious; and slightly torn,
Between, happiness for you,
Loneliness for me,
And just excitement in between!

I miss you already, before you're gone,
But the sooner you go, I suppose,
The sooner you come back home-
Put down your bags,
And smile me a smile,
And miss me too; still while, and before, you go.

  1. I used to look at my husband's bag and swag almost as though they were co-conspirators against me....

  2. I know what it is like to miss the one you love; but John Donne was onto something when he penned "A Valediciton Forbidding Mourning"...

"Our two souls therefore, which are one,
Though I must go, endure not yet
    A breach, but an expansion,
Like gold to aery thinness beat."

Though far apart; there is an aery thin gold felt. Of love, rememberance, committment. And when you see each other again you will once again fill the weight of blessing you have to be together!

  3. Juliet:
'Tis almost morning, I would have thee gone—
And yet no farther than a wan-ton's bird,
That lets it hop a little from his hand,
Like a poor prisoner in his twisted gyves,
And with a silken thread plucks it back again,
    So loving-jealous of his liberty.

    Romeo:
I would I were thy bird.

    Juliet:
    Sweet, so would I,
Yet I should kill thee with much cherishing.
Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.

Romeo And Juliet Act 2, scene 2, 176–185

First Shakespeare and now Mechelle Tully pen words that cut to the heart of truth and resonate for generations to come.

    thankyou Shell...
