Discovering my garden is becoming more and more wonderful! I love having dirty feet, and grass in my hair when I come inside for that cup of tea which tastes insanely good after being out in the wind and sun.
{Did you know that this tiny little flower smells exactly like bubble gum??!!}
And that my favourite colour rose is a buttery-yellow one...
With the ground, with my feet in my shoes against the top of the shovel. With turning soil, the wind in my hair, {armed with antihistamines to keep away the sneezes and hay feverish sniffles!}
I am sitting under a tree with a freshly weeded garden bed beside - satisfied smile - while I talk to the Lord and hear Him answer my inner most hopes, thoughts and fears.
‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know...’
Shell xx
I love that verse...gardening and tending to a garden refreshes my soul too! Your rose is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the verse too. Unfortunately though I try to plant a garden each year there is always something that hinders me from getting into gardening on a consistent basis. I yearn for the day when that will be so as I think it is good time to commune with God. In the soil, in the nature he made for us. I am soooo glad you experiencing all of that. Love and hugs xx
ReplyDeleteI'd like a whole corner of my garden to be filled with your bubble gum flowers growing high and snapdragons growing low - I think I'd squeeze open the mouths of the snapdragons so the sweet bubble-gum-nectar could fall right in!
ReplyDeleteOh gardening is the best thing isn't it? I love it. Reminds me of that feeling I had when I was small of being part of the earth and not a separate thing. Love the verse too.
