The lyrics to a song I wrote a few years ago. I love it, and hope it reads as nicely as a poem, as it does sing, as a song...
I saw you, I met you,
There's something about you...
We got talking, we went for coffee,
There was something about you
There's something heart felt,
There's something beautiful,
There's something about you...
And suddenly you slipped away,
I don't think you meant to,
There was something about you...
There's something tragic,
Yet something incredible!
There's something about you
...don't make me wait,
Don't make me send another boy to the letter box!
Thinking of something, about, you!
When I held you,
I loved you,
There, something about you!
There's something heart felt,
There's something beautiful-
There's something God sent!
I don't even know you-
But there's something about you,
There's something about you...

Is this about Jamie?

Its beautiful!
Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI wrote the song after I saw the movie "Serendipidy" with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. It just felt like the song I would write for the soundtrack.
: )
Oh thats really sweet! I do like that movie Silly me!!
ReplyDeleteI loved it when I saw it - naff as it is! I think that modern love stories are sometimes over the top, but like in Serendipity, when there is a nice message, delivered with poetic and comedic qualities, when good is portrayed as good, and bad is portrayed as bad - then I have no objection to a little light entertainment!
